Richard is an experienced teacher with a background in primary education (English specialism) and a strong interest in outdoor learning. He is a qualified Forest School Leader and a lifelong naturalist, skilled at sharing nature with young people. Richard has taught a wide range of subjects from nursery level up to GCSE, with considerable experience in upper Key Stage 2. He is dedicated to building positive relationships, kindling curiosity and helping students to make personal and academic progress.
Before working at The Greater Horseshoe School, Richard worked as a tutor and mentor for young people in care. As well as teaching at the Greater Horseshoe School, Richard is studying for an MA in Travel and Nature Writing at Bath Spa University. He plays cricket, enjoys cycling and running and is a keen walker and traveller.
